Korean Lash Lifts Are Having a Moment… Don’t Miss It! 💥

If Korean Lash Lifts have completely taken over your Instagram and TikTok feeds lately, you’re definitely not imagining it.

They’re EVERYWHERE.

And if you’re already a Lash Lift Artist, you might be looking at this technique and thinking:

Wait… do I need an entirely new backbar for this?!

Good news: probably not. 🙌

One of our favorite things about learning Korean Lash Lift techniques is that experienced artists likely already have most of the products and tools they need sitting in their salon right now.

Your Profusion? Yep.

Your Flex Shields? Yep.

Your tint? Yep.

Your microbrushes, palette, under-eye pads, tools and aftercare? Yep, yep and yep.

There are a few Korean-technique-specific additions that can make a big difference — hello, Elleemix Powder + Ultra Flex Flat Shields 👋 — but this isn't about throwing out everything you know, and replacing your entire setup and starting from scratch. Its about repurposing what you have

It’s about learning a new way to use many of the products you already know and love.

So before you start panic-adding 37 things to your cart 😂, let’s break down what you actually need for a Korean Lash Lift — and how much of it may already be sitting in your backbar.

💥 Step 1: Prep Those Lashes

Nothing revolutionary here, friends. Great Lash Lifts still start with great prep.

Thoroughly cleanse the lashes to remove makeup, oils and residue, then secure the lower lashes with your preferred under-eye pads. Silicone tape can also help gently stabilize the lid when needed.

Here’s where things start looking a little different: the flat shield.

Rather than immediately wrapping the lashes around your traditional rod or shield, with the Korean technique you first begin on a flat shield, allowing the artist to stretch and position the lashes upward from the root during the initial processing stage.

And other than those flat shields? You probably own the rest of this already.

💥 Step 2: Grab Your Profusion — Because You Already Know Her

Here’s the part we LOVE.

If Elleeplex Profusion is already one of your go-to Lash Lift systems, you don't need to ditch the product you trust just because you're utilizing the Korean technique.

The big addition here is Elleemix Powder, a viscosity controller that can be mixed with your lifting lotion to create a thicker, more paste-like consistency.

Why does that matter?

CONTROL. 👏👏👏

Changing the viscosity helps the solution stay where you place it and gives you greater control over application and product migration.

Same Profusion you know and love. New way of working with it.

💥 Step 3: Process + Pay Attention

Once your lifting lotion is applied, it’s time to process.

Some artists choose to cover the lashes with brow wrap or processing film during this stage. But regardless of the method you're learning, monitoring the lashes is key.

Your Precision Lifting Tool or Tree Tool can help keep everything neat while you assess how those lashes are responding.

And if you’ve been Lash Lifting for a while? . . . There is a VERY good chance one of these is already rolling around in your trolley somewhere.

💥 Step 4: Now Choose Your Final Shape

Here comes the fun part.

After the initial lifting stage, your final rod or shield helps determine the finished shape you want to create.

And once again…

YOU PROBABLY ALREADY OWN THESE. 🙌

Choose your shield based on your client’s natural lashes, eye shape and desired result.

💥 Step 5: Set It!

Next comes your setting lotion to lock your newly created shape into place.

And guess who's back?

PROFUSION. 👏

Your setting lotion can also be used with Elleemix Powder according to your training and manufacturer instructions when you want that thicker consistency and additional placement control.

You can also use Lift Lockers to help keep everything exactly where you want it while processing.

💥 Step 6: Clean It Up

Processing complete? Now take your time removing any remaining product and getting those lashes beautifully clean and separated.

Water. Cotton tips. A kidney dish. Mascara wands.

AKA: the Lash Artist basics you probably already have and have used a million times.

No fancy new equipment required here.

💥 Step 7: Tint + Give Those Lashes Some LOVE

A Lash Tint can take an already gorgeous Korean Lift and give it that OH HELLO THERE 👀 finish by adding darkness and definition.

Follow with a nourishing treatment to give freshly processed lashes some extra TLC.

If you already tint your Lash Lift clients, this part should feel very familiar.

ReGEN 2.0 is a great finishing addition for supporting and conditioning the lashes following chemical processing.

💥 Step 8: Don't Send Them Home Empty-Handed!

You learned a new technique. You created a gorgeous Lift.

Now help your client take care of it.

Aftercare should be part of the conversation, not an awkward sales pitch at checkout.

Make sure your client understands your immediate aftercare instructions, and then recommend a conditioning product they can easily incorporate into their routine.

Bonus: you may already have these sitting on your retail shelf, too. 😉

💥 Step 9: The One Thing You CAN'T Pull Out of Your Backbar: Education

Here’s where we tell you not to wing it.

Having the right products does not mean you automatically know the technique.

Korean Lash Lifting isn't simply “Profusion + some powder + flat shield = Korean Lash Lift.” Understanding solution placement, viscosity, lash assessment, shield selection, processing and flex checking is what turns a collection of products into an actual professional service.

And THAT is where education comes in.

At LashLiftSupplies.com, we want to do more than sell you another thing for your trolley. We want you to understand why you're using it.

Elleebana’s Korean Lash Lift Techniques Online Course walks you through the technique step-by-step so you can take products you may already use every day and learn an entirely new way of working with them.

So… What Do You ACTUALLY Need to Buy?

Here’s the takeaway:

If you're already a working Lash Lift Artist, Korean Lash Lifting may require far less new stuff than you think.

Look through the list again.

Profusion? Already have it.
Flex Shields? Probably have them.
Tint? Got it.
Under-eye pads? Obviously.
Microbrushes, palette, tools, mascara wands? Check, check, check.

For many established artists, the biggest additions may simply be products such as Ultra Flex Flat Shields and Elleemix Powder — plus the education to understand how to use them properly.

That's what makes this technique so exciting.

You're not necessarily starting over.

You're leveling up. 💥

Korean Lash Lifts are having a MOMENT — and adding them to your repertoire doesn't mean abandoning the products, techniques and experience you've spent years building.

Take what you already know. Learn something new. Add a few strategic tools to your backbar.

And go create some seriously lifted lashes. 👀✨
